Happy, happy birthday Rita!  I hope you're enjoying your special day, or will be later (though technically it's still Nov. 14 here in the 314).  I'm sorry I couldn't visit to celebrate with you.  So instead, in anticipation for the 50th anniversary and your birthday, I hope you enjoy 26 fun(ny) adventures with The Doctor for your 26th!

Dissertations and Winter Sports

Those dates also work! Song, stay safe during "Superstorm Nemo", which I didn't realize was a thing until yesterday.  I should watch the news more often... Btw, the MOST frustrating thing about grad school right now is trying to get 5 professors together for a meeting.  I mean OH MY G-D its just a 45 minute meeting! Just AAAARRRGGGHHH!  This meeting, btw, is step 1 in my dissertation, sooooo its kind of a big deal.  But heaven forbid that is at all an easy process.  I just had to let the blog know my feelings.  I hope everyone had a good weekend!  I went skiing last night and didn't die!  And I only fell twice! Yay! I'll find a way to post pics in a bit :D

Blogspot swallowed my multiple attempts to comment on your last post, Rita, so to reply...Alexander Hamilton is quite attractive, especially with that arm candy next to him.

*Slight correction: May 10th is the exhibition opening, May 11th is graduation.  I hope that doesn't mess up your plans.  Esthur, I do hope you can make it too!

Leslie, I'm so proud of you for getting your thesis got accepted!  You can totally get this bitch done!!!  Esthur, I'm so happy you got a job!  Hopefully you will like it more this time around :)  I miss y'all a lot!  Also, Esthur, I am planning on going to Philly for a certain someone's graduation and final show (May 9 and 10), so you should do that too!!!  Philly reunion! Last time I was there I hooked up with some sexy founding fathers, and that's always a plus.  (Alexander Hamilton is a sexy Caribbean beast).

Hello, lovely ladies! It's been a while since any of us have written anything, so I think it's time to rekindle this blog. I hope 2013 has been off to an amazing start for you two. It's been extremely cold here; I know I shouldn't complain since this is probably normal January weather, but this girl is quite displeased (mainly because of no-heat-because-of-poverty-related reasons):

Rita, please don't die this semester. Especially since the flu is disgustingly terrible this year...and you're surrounded by children. Esthur, how did the Wells Fargo job pan out? Is it for realreal? Now that the thesis review is done, time to move onto making pretty and complex (and pretty complex) things. Wish me luck, s'il vous plaît. I hope you guys can make it to the opening of my exhibition and/or graduation! I think we're also going to show our work in New York as well :) It'd be awesome if all of us could meet up there and then go explore the city!
